Back Story
Love
Racolo liked living with his free-spirited grandmother. He soon met and fell in love with a vivacious elf named Eevette (aka Esmodonti). Everything was wonderful until Qualina fell ill. She thought it best for her grandson to continue his education at Magick School while boarding there. After much discussion he agreed to go. Eevette was furious. They had a huge fight and she ended the relationship.
Qualina liked Eevette. She knew her guardian mistreated her and had plans to rescue her and take her in. Unfortunately, time ran out and she died. When Racolo returned, he looked for Eevette but couldn’t find her. He went back to school determined to forget her.
Fatherhood
One day in class a baby appeared in Racolo’s lap. This baby stared into Racolo’s eyes, smiled and vanished. No one was more astonished than him. The teacher explained the baby had just ‘blinked’ in and out of the room. This happened everyday for a week. The wizards magically discovered that the baby was Racolo’s son. After he got over the shock, Racolo realized he wanted to raise his baby. He found a way to magically follow his son when he blinked out. This led him to his son’s keepers, who were happy to sell Racolo this uncontrollable magical-child, named Lithium. Racolo went through most of the money Qualina had left him to buy his son. Once Lithium was happily reunited with his father, he began blinking into
the home of the Lady with the Dog. At the time, Racolo had no idea Lithium's mother lived there, but since his son was determined to stay, Racolo reluctantly moved in.
Soon after, he ran into Eevette, now a vampire known as Esmodonti. It was not a happy reunion. Racolo couldn’t forgive her for keeping her pregnancy a secret, or for becoming a vampire (a creature the two of them once hunted). One time he watched her become a devoted mother to Lithium so he came up with a magical way for her to stay awake during the day. This meant she could send more time with Lithium. Then and old grievances began to faded Racolo popped the question and her answer was yes. They’re now happily married.
Syrrah
Racolo met Syrrah while on holiday in the Elvin realm with Zyfan. He prolonged his stay to study herbal lore with the Celestial Coven. While there, he participated in the Festival of the Flower Goddess, a fertility celebration - in which everyone is encouraged to participate.
Racolo’s parents were attending law school when they discovered he was on the way. They married, but it was a stormy relationship from the start. When Racolo was 5 years old, his mother left. His father remarried giving Racolo a stepmother and a younger stepsister, Tia. Later, his half brother, Aless was born.
Racolo inherited magic from his grandmother. He discovered his talent accidentally when he was 13 years old. He’d written a poem about rain and read it out loud, instantly it began to pour inside his room. His father, a non-magic user, was quite distressed by this. Father and son had a challenging relationship to begin with, so it was decided Racolo would live with his grandmother, Qualina,
a powerful sorceress who could mentor him..
Trey
Trey taught at Magick School and recognized Racolo’s talent. He became his mentor and made him his Teacher’s Assistant. When Trey took leave of his position,to search for magical artifact in the Elvin realm, he recommended to the board that Racolo take his place.
Zyfan
Racolo and Zyfan were roommates at Magick School. At the time, both of them had just had their hearts broken - Racolo by Esmodonti and Zyfan by Washi. They were drinking buddies for a time and in the process became good friends.
