Xyla is a powerful ancient dragon disguised as a young human girl. Long ago, she saved Trey’s life and he’s remained loyal to her ever since.  He’s happy helping her search for more of her kind.  To prolong his life she 

placed him under a youth spell. Harmonia, Trey’s firstborn was accidentally placed under a youth spell too by him, but it went wrong  making her unstable. Once Xyla realized Trey’s younger daughter Lu could be a good babysitter for Harmonia, she placed her under the youth spell too. Lu is happy to look after her sister. 

Xyla lives with Trey in the Elvin realm where they ‘re searching for anything that may lead to her missing fellow 

dragons. She sees Trey’s children: Harmonia, Lu and Quinn  as her pets.

Harmonia and Lu

Harmonia's mind and magic are too unstable to be of any use to Xyla. Still, she keeps track of Harmonia in order so Trey stays focussed on the search for other dragons. Harmonia tolerates Xyla because she knows how important she is to her father, but she doesn’t like her.

Lu has a supernatural photogenic mind - which Xyla found very helpful in her quest. Lu is also the only person who can control Harmonia. Therefore she’s very useful to Xyla.

 Lu can barley tolerate Xyla. It was Xyla who put Lu under a youth spell without discussing it with her. She had no desire to extend her life. She’s never forgiven Xyla for doing this to her.

Quinn

Over time, it was revealed that Quinn is her dragon rider.

Xyla didn’t appreciate Lu telling him this - but now there’s not much she can do about it. He has yet to see her in her true form and is trying to adjust to this new role.
