Back Story
Love
Hunting vampires wasn’t the only thing they had in common. Eevette knew Racolo liked her right from the start. She liked flirting with him but never planned to get involved with this teenager. He pursued her until it paid off. The two were in a passionate relationship that lasted three years.
Racolo lived with his grandmother, Qualina, who was ill. She made arrangements for him to board at Magick School, in a far-off land. When Racolo told Eevette, she became furious and broke off the relationship. He left but promised to come back for her. She didn't believe him. She had just found out she was pregnant but didn’t tell him. She didn’t want him to stay with her just because of the baby.
Her owner found out and locked her in a cage until she gave birth. He knew elf babies were worth a lot of money, so he stole hers and sold it to the highest bidder. But before he did, he had the baby tattooed with the same tattoo Evette has on her chest ‘Li ‘ (after her favorite song 'Lithium' by Nirvana).
A Vampire
When Eevette woke up and discovered what her owner had done, she was beside herself. She couldn't fight him in her present state. She befriended an ancient vampire, knowing the older he was, the stronger he could make her. She offered him a deal; bring her over and she’d invite him to feast on her owner. The vampire agreed. She got her revenge and found out and about the tattoo, a way to identify her son. Her owner was never heard from again.
The Famous Vampir-Es
Eevette changed her name to Esmodonti and became known as the famous vampir-Es. She searched for her son but couldn’t find a trail. He was lost to her, as was Racolo. She wanted to hide away and forget her past. She ran away to the home of the Lady with the Dog. Mez had written an article that was published in a magazine. Es read it and was intrigued. She snuck into the bathroom window where she was promptly caught by the Lady. After a brief conversation it was decided Es could join the Crew on one condition, no feeding in the house. For the first time in her life Es was free.
Then Racolo and Lithium arrived. Lithium had magically found his father and brought him to Es. Racolo was not
happy to see her. He hated that she had become a vampire and accused her of selling his son for profit. For a long time, he refused to listen to her side of the story.
Motherhood
Racolo had custody of Lithium and didn't want Es to have contact with him. Lithium took matters into his own hands. One evening, when Es rose from her coffin, Lithium was waiting for her. He had magically blinked himself into her room. It was love at first sight.
Es loves being a mama and Racolo had to admit that she’s very devoted, but she was limited to early mornings and bed time. He found a way to magically cure some of her vampirism so she’ could stay awake during the day and enjoy the sunshine with their son.
A Potion, A Spell, and A Wedding
Es was tricked by Herita into a drinking a potion that gave her an unnatural need to feed. Herita’s plan was to have Es make her a vampire. She didn’t know the potion would have a delayed effect on Es. Instead of Herita - Es fed off Zyfan nearly killing him. Syrrah felt Es was too dangerous to live among the Crew anymore. She had Usagi, a necromancer, place Es under a sleep spell . While Es slept, Racolo realized how important she was to him. He was desperate to wake her. It was decided that Io, the genie, was the answer. Daprima made a wish and Es woke up. Racolo created magical tattoos to prevent outside magic from affecting her ever again, but before he did, he gave her the ability to enjoy sunlight. Then they married.
Cammeo
- is Lithium's nanny. She and Es had some issues in the beginning but they’ve put them aside for Lithium. When Es was first reunited with her son, she felt inadequate as a mother. Cammeo became her mentor.
Daprima
Es isn't the type that sees any benefit to having female friends. However, after Es slept with Daprima's brother Mez, she and Daprima reached an understanding that turned into a friendship. Daprima is her only real girl friend. Still, Es is much more comfortable with the guys.
Jesse - and Es are good friends. In the past, they were friends with benefits. He’s learned to depend on her for advice.
Mez - Es had the pleasure of being Mez's 'first' and because of this, she’s very protective of him.
Karanthir
When Es arrived, she and Karanthir enjoyed a flirty, sexual relationship. Over time, they became best friends. They each 'live in the moment' and are both vampires. Es knows Karanthir better than anyone else, it was she who first told him he was in love with Zyfan.
Trey
Prior to Racolo and Es getting married - things became extra tense when she dated Trey. Trey was more than Racolo’s mentor at Magick School, he was also his professor. Es didn’t see any problem with this and
enjoyed herself for as long as it lasted.
When Es was a child she was stolen from the Elvin realm and brought to Russia where she was sold like a pet. To keep from being mistreated, she learned to entertain her many owners. She’s been in the human realm for over a century and has lived in many countries. She adapted to each one and learned to speak the various languages.
Es’s last owner was a brute of a man who won her in a card game. At the time, she was known as Eevette. They lived in New York City where she met Racolo. Racolo would sneak her out of the apartment whenever her owner drank too much. During this time, vampires were terrorizing the city streets. Eevette and Racolo formed a great team - fighting them. She was fearless, quick thinking, and had street smarts. He had a talent for magic.
