MEZ:
What do ya mean?  Io felt sick and we needed help. Tahariel’s
from a magical family and plans to be a doctor. She’s the best person
to bring in here - plus she was passing by when I went out there.

JESSE:
Yeah - but look at me - I’m not even dressed! I look like hell.

MEZ:
So what? She wasn’t here to see you, she was here to … 

MEZ:
… Oooh, I get it. You like her.

JESSE:
I do not!

MEZ:

Oh yeah ya do, and you got it bad too. 

JESSE:

MEZ:
She doesn’t seem to like you much. What’d you do to her?

JESSE:
Nothing.

MEZ:

JESSE:

OK, so I insulted her friggin’ cat.

MEZ:

JESSE:
Hey - I didn’t know it was hers, and I still think Albert’s
a stupid name for a cat. Now she hates me.

JESSE:
… Hey, I just thought of something. She rooms with
Cammeo, doesn’t she? Do ya think … 

MEZ:
No way.

JESSE:
Why not?

MEZ:
Like -  Cammeo’s gonna put in a good word
for you? Ain’t happening and I’m not asking her.

JESSE:
I gotta find a way to change her mind about me. What would you do?

MEZ:
I don’t know. Maybe get on Quinn’s good side.

JESSE:
Quinn, that moron. Why?

MEZ:
That moron’s her uncle. Man, don’t you remember anything?

JESSE:
Oh yeah, I forgot. Just my luck - he had to be related to her. 

MEZ:
You pretty much blew it with him. 

JESSE:
I’m screwed.

MEZ:
No offense Jes, but - don’t you think she’s
a little out of your league?

JESSE:
No - and what do ya mean by that?

MEZ:
Well, from what Quinn’s told me - she’s rich. Her father’s
arranging for her horse to be brought here.

JESSE:
She has her own horse?

MEZ:
Uh-huh. Then there’s the whole doctor brainiac thing.

MEZ:
… You’ll look after Io, right? 

JESSE:
Yeah sure. Hey one more thing - does she have a boyfriend?

MEZ:
No.

JESSE:
