DAPRIMA:

A week in Disney World with Grace, I don't recommend it.  

I considered returning early - to say goodbye to Fin …

LU:

Fin is her boyfriend. He’s presently in the Elvin realm attending  

the engagement festivities of the future One - who also lives here.

Quinn, would you be a dear and bring that chair over for Daprima?

QUINN:
Sure.

QUINN:

… Lu, what’s a One?

LU:

The ruler of the United Elvin Nation.

QUINN:

Aye, right. What else would it be? This is all so fantastic.

DAPRIMA:

… but I couldn’t do that to Grace, who had been looking forward to 

this trip for months. I also considered leaving her there with Mez

and Cammeo, but Mez would never have forgiven me for that. 

DAPRIMA:
… Thanks Quinn. Once we’re done here, I’ll introduce you to my 

family which includes the genie. I think you’ll enjoy meeting him. 

DAPRIMA:
… Anyway - we’re here to discuss waking up Es. I believe we

 all agree that Io’s the best way to do this.

LU:

Es is the vampire who was placed under a sleep spell by Usagi, an 

elf, who no longer lives here. Io is the name of Daprima’s genie. 

QUINN:

Aye, right.

DAPRIMA:
Racolo did you find anything useful in the material Usagi left behind?

RACOLO:
How did you know about that?

DAPRIMA:
C’mon Roc, it’s me. I know she tried to help you, 

just not sure how.

LU:

Daprima is referring to the fact that she’s clairvoyant and is

capable of being made aware of events that she hasn’t witnessed.

QUINN:
Gr-date, and I mean that in a spooky kinda way. 

RACOLO:

Usagi’s specialty is necromancy, but her magic is not structured 

in a way that I’m familiar with … so I’m still working on it.

DAPRIMA:
Lu, do you know anything about necromancy?

LU:

Only its history, nothing on how it’s practiced. Perhaps my sister may 

know more? I’ll give Harmonia a call as soon as we’re finished here. 

DAPRIMA:
OK then, is there any reason why Io’s magic wouldn’t work?

RACOLO:

None that I could find, but the wording of the wish needs to be exact.

DAPRIMA:
Not to worry, I'm pre-law and if there's one thing I know, 

it’s how to write a contract, and a wish is nothing more than that. 

DAPRIMA:
… so I thought I should  wish that Es was never 

affected by Usagi’s magic in the first place. 

LU:

Yes, that should work.

DAPRIMA:
But there’s still one more thing - we need to make sure 

that Es can’t be affected by any magic ever again. 

LU:
We already know how to do that.

RACOLO:
We do?

LU:
Yes, the solution is written on your arms. 

RACOLO:
Oh yeah, of course. Es wouldn’t mind a few tattoos for protection.

LU:
Ah Cammeo, come join us. 

LU:

… I wanted Cammeo here for her expertise on vampires.

CAMMEO:

Sorry I’m late. Grace insisted on showing me 

the most lovely doll, on the internet.

LU:
