226 - Little Angel
A story about the Twins
Once upon a time there was a little angel
who was assigned to watch over twin sisters.
They lived long ago, and in their time they were known as Seekers.
Seekers were endowed with extraordinary powers.
Their purpose - to protect the world from evil Vampires.
The little angel diligently guided the twins in their mission,
always doing her best to keep them safe from harm.
The twins became very competent in their work until, one day,
IT happened. The little angel became distracted.
She looked away, only for a moment,
and the unimaginable occurred.
One twin grew indifferent to the plight of
the world and allowed herself to be turned.
She became a Vampire, an evil predator.
By the time the little angel looked again
she witnessed one twin slaying the other.
The Vampire was no more!
The surviving twin, to escape madness from the horror of it all,
went into a deep, magically induced slumber.
The little angel was broken-hearted. She had failed to protect her charges.
In disgrace, she cast herself from heaven.
An angel no more.
A century later, beckoned by the call of another
the surviving twin awoke.
Her Seeker powers now dormant,
She lives as a human.
But, off in the darkness, the other twin,
so connected to the first - woke too.
She sought out her sister and they reunited.
Neither one a Seeker nor a Vampire anymore.
They seem to live in harmony, but it is untrue.
One twin is unwell, unbalanced, and is unravelling.
She cannot hide it much longer, not from her twin,
who already suspects something.
Meanwhile, the little angel, who forgot she was an angel,
wanders the Earth - confused.
She knows she has a purpose. She knows time is short.
She knows she must stop IT from happening.
- But stop what? She cannot remember.
Poor little angel.
