Still taking care of some family obligations. She’ll be 

joining us in a few days. This is her brother, Zyfan. 

He’ll be spending the night. Zyfan this is Fin.

ZYFAN:

FIN:

You must be hungry. Come with me andI’ll see 

if there’s anything edible in the kitchen.

VANNI:

I’ll join you later. I want to say good night to Noli first.

Go with Fin, Zyfan, he’ll take  good care of you.

In Cammeo and Noli’s room ...

BRYNIE:

NOLI:
Noli missed you lots.

VANNI:

BRYNIE:

in here? Mez is supposed to be reading Noli her story.

BRYNIE:

VANNI:
What happened?

NOLI:

Mez got sad. ‘Meo sad too. 

BRYNIE:

They kind of broke up and things around here went to pieces.

VANNI:

What happened?

BRYNIE:

Fin said it was none of my business, so I asked Karanthir.

BRYNIE:

… Then I asked Karanthir what that had to do with Cammeo. 

He must’ve thought that was funny cause he burst out laughing.

VANNI:

I’m not sure Karanthir's the one to provide you with 

any reliable information Brynie.

BRYNIE:

Maybe, but he knows everything that goes on around here. Anyway, 

once he stopped laughing at me, he said Cammeo found Mez in the 

closet with Es. Why would they be in the closet together?

NOLI:

Maybe they play hide and go seek?

BRYNIE:

I think it had something to do with sex. Anyway that’s 

when Mez stopped showing up for Noli’s bedtime stories.

I used to read to my little brother all the time, so I took over.

VANNI:

I didn't know you had a little brother.

BRYNIE:

His name’s Orrie. He lives with my grandparents 

back home. Hey did you fly home on a griffin?

VANNI:
Yes.

BRYNIE:
I’d give anything to ride on a griffin. How was it?

VANNI:
Windy. 

BRYNIE:
Are the griffins still here?

VANNI:

I think Zyfan sent them to the park for the night. You can 

ask him, he’s in the kitchen with Fin.

BRYNIE:

Great. I guess you want to finish the story. Oh and Vanni, 

I’m really happy you’re home.

VANNI:

Thanks Brynie, for everything.

VANNI:

OK Noli, let’s finish this one.

NOLI:

Then in the kitchen …

BRYNIE:

You must be Zyfan. Where are the griffins? Can I see them?

FIN:

Brynie, where are your manners? You don’t

barge in here asking our guest a bunch of questions.

BRYNIE:

Sorry.

ZYFAN:

I do not mind. The griffins are resting.

If you wish, tomorrow I will summon them for you.

BRYNIE:

Really? That would be awesome.

FIN:

Zyfan, this is my brother Brynie.

BRYNIE:

... Are you a real prince? Do I have to call you your highness?

ZYFAN:

FIN:

Vanni you’re just in time. I ordered a pizza, 

it should be here any minute.

VANNI:

That sounds good. So Fin, Brynie mentioned 

you have another brother ...

FIN:

Orrie? I haven’t seen him in years. He's just a baby. What about him?

VANNI:

 I was thinking, Zyfan will be returning to the Elviny realm to get Syrrah - what if he takes Brynie with him, to visit with Orrie.

FIN:

That's OK with me. Brynie will be thrilled.

VANNI:

You don’t mind, do you?

ZYFAN:

On the contrary mahtan, I shall enjoy the company.

FIN:

Mahtan? There’s a word I haven’t heard in a long time. My father 

called my uncle that. Doesn't it mean 'honored brother' 

- Hey Vanni … are you and Syrrah married?

VANNI:

Well yeah. We were planning to announce it when she returned.

ZYFAN:
