PHAE:

… Harmonia, I hope you don’t mind, but I brought a guest.

HARMONIA:
Karanthir? Well shut my mouth - I never
woulda expected ya’ll for tea. 

KARANTHIR:
What can I say? I’m just full of surprises. 

HARMONIA:
You sure are! Let me get another place setting. I must
confess that tea is just an excuse for us to have a little chat. 

HARMONIA:

… Karanthir, be a dear and bring that chair over
yonder for me, then ya’ll can sit on my left.
Phae, why doncha sit right there. 

PHAE:
It all looks so lovely Harmonia. Why, you even have cupcakes.

HARMONIA:
I was told they’re your favorite. Go on, don’t be shy - help yourself.

KARANTHIR:
Harmonia, although this is quite the delight,
I’m just dying to know what this little chat is all about.

HARMONIA:
Alright-ie. I’ll get right to it.

HARMONIA:
… Phae hon, I was just wonderin’ - do you realize what
you’ve gone and done bringing a fairy into this house?

PHAE:
It’s not as if I had a choice. She just showed up and that was
that. At first, I thought she was just wonderful but then, well …

HARMONIA:
Then ya discovered that she’s just
trouble waitin’ to happen.  

PHAE:
I don’t know what to do with her. She only
wants to help, but when she does, what
she does, isn’t really helpful at all. 

HARMONIA:
I’m fully aware of how fairies operate. But now you’ve
got her and ya got to control her. I’ve managed to
… accidentally get rid of her wands. 

KARANTHIR:
Truly a happy accident if ever there was one.

HARMONIA:
I’ll say, but that don’t mean her magic’s gone, it’s just not
as powerful. So ya see, we still have a dilemma.

PHAE:
I’m open to any suggestions.

HARMONIA:
Well that’s just it - this has got to be all you. You - the Heart of
the One, future queen of the Elves. This is a role ya’ll need to
grow into and it’s time ya begin to do just that. 

PHAE:
How?

HARMONIA:
The Heart is a leader, and ya’ll need to lead that
fairy of yours. Remember - she’s here for you,
not the other way ‘round.

HARMONIA:
… How’m I doin’ Karanthir?

KARANTHIR:
Madam?

HARMONIA:
I know why you’re here. Zyfan was worried ‘bout what I
was goin’ to say to Phae. You’re here to protect her. That’s
good. Seems to me the two of ya’ll make a good team. 

HARMONIA:
… Now that fairy needs discipline, and you’re the one
to help reign her in. The prince is too sweet
and Phae here’s too inexperienced. 

PHAE:
I think she’s right.

KARANTHIR:
Are you turning on me, Cupcake?

PHAE:
No, never.

HARMONIA:
Oh come now Karanthir - ya’ll know I’m right about this.

KARANTHIR:
And just what do you expect me to do?

HARMONIA:
The way I hear it, ever since you freed that fairy from
the chair - well she’s gotten downright sweet on you.

PHAE:
It’s true. You ought to hear the way she goes on
about you being her hero. Wysh thinks you’re
just as dreamy as Zyfan.

KARANTHIR:
That’s two, Cupcake. 

KARANTHIR:
… Honestly, I don’t know why I freed that little pixie in the
first place. It was certainly a huge lapse in judgement on my part,
and now I’m expected to babysit her? I mean really!

HARMONIA:
I think ya’ll can start by giving that little pixie some rules, or
maybe even job of some sort? I’ll leave that for ya’ll to decide. 

HARMONIA:
… Well, that went well. Now I don’t need to worry about this
no more. I can see the situation will be under control in no 

time at all. Karanthir, you’re not eating - go on and have a
cinnamon bun - they’re mighty tasty.
