I know Herita’s gone, and that Charlotte’s just a doll again, but … 

TAHARIEL:

CAMMEO:

TAHARIEL:

CAMMEO:
Sometimes I feel as if she’s still watching me. Oh I know
it’s not so, but after all that’s happened  …

TAHARIEL:
Uh-huh, I know what ya mean.

CAMMEO:

TAHARIEL:
What do you want to do? 

CAMMEO:
When Mez first gave her to me, I was so happy.  I just adored her,
but now … she’s not a joyful thing anymore.

TAHARIEL:
I’m sorry.

CAMMEO:

MEZ:
Hey Cammeo, Tahariel, what’s going on? Why are you
both staring at - she didn’t move again, did she? 

TAHARIEL:
Oh no - nothing like that.

MEZ:
Ya know Cam, I hate to say this but she freaks
me out. I wish you’d get rid of her. 

CAMMEO:
Oh Mez thank you!

MEZ:
For what?

CAMMEO:
For saying that. We were just tryin to sort out what
to do with Charlotte. But Mez, she was so expensive …

TAHARIEL:
Why not sell her?

MEZ:
No way. I don’t want to have to worry about
this happening to someone else. 

TAHARIEL:
That won’t happen.

MEZ:
How can you be so sure?

TAHARIEL:
I know! I bet my grandpaw Trey would want her,
and he’d willing to pay good money for her too. 

CAMMEO:
But why?

TAHARIEL:
He collects rare and magical artifacts, and Charlotte is certainly
that. She’ll be safe with him too. He’s been studying magic for
centuries. Say the word and Mama will make the arrangements.

CAMMEO:
Part of me will miss her a great deal but ….
You really don’t mind if I let her go.

MEZ:
Are you for real? I’ll pack her up myself.
