Wednesday afternoon in the kitchen …
KARANTHIR:
Pardon me for waking you dear brother, but do you really
think this is an appropriate place for a nap?
FIN:
Huh?
KARANTHIR:
Forgive me for saying so but you look simply ghastly.
I take it it has been a rough day.
FIN:
The worst. I’ve been out shopping with Daprima and Io.
KARANTHIR:
You went shopping without moi.
Honestly, I believe I’m quite insulted.
FIN:
Don’t be. It was no picnic. After the fourth store I realized
something about myself I never knew before.
KARANTHIR:
Do tell?
FIN:
I hate shopping.
KARANTHIR:
Really Fin, aren’t we being just tad dramatic.
FIN:
Are you kidding? Six stores and five hours later, we arrive
home with three things for Io. They want to do this
all over again tomorrow just to look for shoes.
KARANTHIR:
Oooh shoes!
FIN:
Well there’s no way. They can count me out.
KARANTHIR:
Why’d you go in the first place?
FIN:
Daprima said Io had never been shopping before and
what if he needed help in the dressing room?
KARANTHIR:
You helped our sexy ex-genie in the dressing room?
FIN:
Shut up! I tried to explain to Daprima that guys don’t do that.
KARANTHIR:
Oh contraire, I’ll have you know that Zyfan and I have had
some lovely times in dressing rooms.
FIN:
I don’t want to hear it.
KARANTHIR:
You know, dear brother, I would be happy to take my future sister-in-law shopping with her ex-genie - in lieu of you. All you need do is ask me.
FIN:
Really! You mean you’d - wait a minute. What’s the catch?
KARANTHIR:
Nothing really, just a teeny tiny little favor …
FIN:
How teeny?
KARANTHIR:
Our little brother, Orrie wants to go to the petting zoo.
I mean honestly! Can you see me at athe petting zoo? Seriously,
there are times when I think that boy forgets who I am.
FIN:
I’ll take him.
KARANTHIR:
Wonderful, then we have ourselves a deal.
