KARANTHIR:

On a carousel horse, going round and round and getting nowhere.

ZYFAN:

I do not understand.

KARANTHIR:

I was off to speak to Herita. She's behind all of this my prince.

Everything. My illness, Es, you ...

ZYFAN:

Yes, Mez has been telling me. How did it go?

KARANTHIR:

I was unable to see her.

ZYFAN:

I am relieved. You had me quite concerned. I thought

perhaps you might do her harm.

MEZ:

So what happened?

KARANTHIR:

An incredibly irritating, stubborn, overly-polite woman blocked my way.

MEZ:

Who?

KARANTHIR:

Harmonia.

MEZ:

You mean – she stopped you? How the heck did she do that?

KARANTHIR:

Honestly, I'm not certain. She was just … in my way. She actually sat herself in a chair directly in front of the room where Herita was hiding.

ZYFAN:

Am I to understand that my Karanthir, the silver tongued devil,

was unable to persuade her to your will?

KARANTHIR:

What was I to do? She literally blocked my way.

MEZ:

Why didn't ya just ... move her?

KARANTHIR:

I considered it but she was so … you had to be there.

ZYFAN:

I have never seen you like this. She has you quite flustered.

KARANTHIR:

I am not flustered.

ZYFAN:

You certainly seem flustered.

ZYFAN:

… Mez, does he not seem flustered to you?

MEZ:

I think there’s definitely some flustering going on there.

KARANTHIR:

You can leave now.

MEZ:

I couldn't do that, I'm guarding the prince, remember?

MEZ:

… And seeing you all bent out of shape like this - made my day.

You know, most of the time Harmonia isn't playing with a full deck.

And yet, today - she got one over on you.

KARANTHIR:

I can assure you that the Harmonia I just dealt with is not the bewildered lass we know and love. On the contrary, she was proficient, articulet, and downright commanding. She reminded me a bit of Syrrah, only

more so. It was … eery.

ZYFAN:

Now you are scaring me. Perhaps it is best that you walked away.

MEZ:
Yeah or she might have hit you with her magic.

KARANTHIR:

She threatened ed me with it, and I got the distinct impression she wasn’t

bluffing. Besides, she told me that Cammeo was in with Herita. And we both

agreed that they deserved the opportunity to speak, without interruption.

MEZ:

Is she? MThen, I gotta go. I want to be there when Cammeo comes out.

ZYFAN:

That is a good idea Mez. I believe she will need you. I should think

that the conversation they are having is not at all pleasant.
