Thursday evening in the kitchen ...
ZYFAN:
Orrie, it is late. Why are you not in bed?
ORRIE:
Hungry. Need a cookie, please?
ZYFAN:
I suppose it would not hurt, but then you must return to bed.
ORRIE:
Yup. K’ranthir and you have a sleep over yest’day?
ZYFAN:
Uh… here is your cookie.
ORRIE:
You like sleeping with K’ranthir?
ZYFAN:
Uh, yes, very much.
Me too. I sneak in his bed all the time. He keep me warm.
ZYFAN:
He ... keeps me warm too.
ORRIE:
Then it’s good that he give you a turn, sometimes.
ZYFAN:
Gives me a turn?
ORRIE:
Yup. Him give Es a turn too. You gonna eat that cookie?
ZYFAN:
You can have it. Orrie, how does he give Es a turn?
ORRIE:
K’ranthir have sleep overs with her too.
ZYFAN:
He does. You are … sure of this?
ORRIE:
Yup. Told me so himself. Guess he keeps her warm too.
ZYFAN:
Do you know where he is now?
ORRIE:
Nope. Thanks for the cookies. I tired now,
am going back to bed now. ‘Night.
ZYFAN:
He gives her a turn?

MEZ:
Hey Zyfan, let me warn you - Daprima’s looking for you.
Did you hear me?
ZYFAN:
Oh Mez, forgive me I did not see you. What were you saying?
MEZ:

MEZ:

Io, I thought he was the last owner of your lamp.
IO:

MEZ:
Master? Grace is your master, not me
IO:
Io is genie to the first clan. You are part of that clan
so Io serves you as well.
MEZ:
But, I don’t want a genie.
IO:
That does not matter. Is there anything you wish? Io lives to serve.
MEZ:

ZYFAN:
Racolo, have you seen Karanthir?
RACOLO:
I try not to.
RACOLO:
... Zyfan you don't look so good. You OK?
ZYFAN:
I do not believe I am.
RACOLO:
What’s going on?
ZYFAN:
Racolo, why is it that the ones I love are always unfaithful to me?
RACOLO:
Oh man, that’s rough. I didn’t know you were
seeing anyone. I thought you swore off relationships.
ZYFAN:
When did I do that?
RACOLO:
Don’t you remember? We just became roommates at Magic
School, I told you about Eevette, now she goes by Es. You
told me all about ... sorry can’t remember his name.
ZYFAN:
Washi.
RACOLO:
Washi. Anyway we decided we’d be better off without … any of it.
ZYFAN:
I remember now. We were quite intoxicated, were we not?
RACOLO:
Definitely.
ZYFAN:
I have not thought about Washi in a long time. I just found out he
left me a magical lamp, in it lives a genie. Why would he do such a thing?
RACOLO:
You mean there’s a real live genie living here now?
ZYFAN:
Yes. Racolo, how do you do it? You once told me you never wanted
to see your Eevette, well Es, again. Yet, here you both are.
RACOLO:
That’s my kid’s doing, not mine. I'm not with her.
ZYFAN:
Perhaps if you were, I would not be in my present situation.
RACOLO:
What are you talking about? Has she done something to you?
ZYFAN:
No, but apparently she is doing it with Karanthir.
They are … in a relationship.
RACOLO:
I know, but as long as she keeps that vamp away from my kid,
there’s nothing I can do about it. What does that have to
do with … Oh no Zyfan, not Karanthir!
ZYFAN:
Why does everyone keep saying that to me?
